I met Luz when she joined bluebird bio as a people partner supporting the Pharmaceutical Sciences organization. I was immediately impressed with her presence and her ability to quickly learn the organization and make immediate impact - all via remote working due to the covid-19 pandemic.  I found her to be an instinctual leader. She quickly understood people,  diagnosed situations, and dove right into partnering with us to solve problems and mature the organization. We formed a connection very quickly and, unlike others in similar roles, Luz asked for feedback and thought partnering almost as much as she supported me by providing advice and guidance. That is just one example of the behaviors and characteristics that make her so effective. She left a lasting impression on the people and processes at the company and on me personally.  I'm excited to watch her unleash her amazing talent, wisdom, passion, and personality to help countless others in her new endeavor as an HR consultant.
